Summit-ul s-a incheiat. Tragi-comedia Grexit-ului e inca departe de a se incheia.Problemele fundamentale raman nerezolvate.

Azi Tsipras a declarat ca a evitat constituirea fondului de garantii pe care il cerea Eurogrup-ul si ca a obtinut restructurarea datoriei. Din declaratiile celorlalti nu am inteles acelasi lucru.
Oricum, e doar un acord de principiu, mai trebuie si implementat.

The closest Greece has come to leaving the eurozone was at around 6am on Monday morning, just as dawn was breaking over Brussels.
Alexis Tsipras of Greece and Angela Merkel, the German chancellor, decided after 14 hours of anguished talks that they had reached a dead end. With no room for compromise, neither saw any reason to carry on. Grexit was the only realistic option.

As the two leaders made for the door it was Donald Tusk, the president of the European Council, who moved to prevent the fatigue and frustration from triggering a historic rupture for the eurozone. “Sorry, but there is no way you are leaving this room,” the former Polish prime minister said.

Si acum sa vedem daca reuseste Tsipras sa isi voteze pachetul de austeritate in parlament. Va fi interesant, se pare ca vreo 30 de parlamentari din coalitie au dezertat deja. Oricum majoritatea lor este foarte fragila, parca vreo 8-10 voturi daca nu ma insel.

Britain won’t contribute any money to the Greek bailout, declared UK chancellor George Osborne as he arrived at today’s meeting of EU finance ministers in Brussels.

He told reporters:

Britain is not in the euro, so the idea that British taxpayers will be on the line for this Greek deal is a complete non-starter.
The eurozone needs to foot its own bill.
As explained earlier, Britain is adamant that it won’t let the European Financial Stability Mechanism (EFSM) be used to underwrite short-term loans to Greece (as this would break an earlier deal between the UK and Brussels).

OXI-ul pe stil francez sau britanic are alta conotatie. Daca in Grecia inseamna vrem sa ne stergeti 300 de miliarde din datorii, in FR si GB inseamna hai sa inchidem granitele ca ne-am umplut de muncitori din RO, BG si alte tari sarace. Muncitori, hoti si cersetori, adica.

De fapt, fără salvarea geopolitică in extremis de la finele războiului mondial, când Churchill a insistat pe lângă Stalin pentru soarta Greciei, şi mai ales fără sumele enorme pompate în Grecia după 1980 de Uniunea Europeană şi de contribuabilii germani, Elada de azi ar fi fost în cel mai bun caz la nivelul Serbiei sau Bulgariei. Pentru amatorii de date relevante din istoria economică a Europei, e bine de ştiut că Grecia era, în anii ‘30, destul de mult sub nivelul de industrializare şi dezvoltare economică a României, Cehiei sau Poloniei. E bine să spunem aceste lucruri din capul locului, pentru a curma discursul de doi bani al abuzului Occidentului asupra Greciei. Fără protecţia şi banii occidentalilor (NATO, UE) Grecia ar fi fost astăzi mai săracă şi mai înapoiată decât statele rezultate din destrămarea Iugoslaviei vecine, iar modelul ei de referinţă ar fi fost în prezent, în cel mai fericit caz, Bulgaria de la nord. Căci asta este liga despre care vorbim.
